Riddarholm Church

Riddarholmskyrkan, a medieval brick church with an open cast-iron spire, is the burial church of Swedish monarchs and dominates the small island of Riddarholmen.

The spire is easiest to appreciate from a distance, especially from Monteliusvägen or Stockholm City Hall's garden across the water. On the island itself, walk around Birger Jarls torg and down to Evert Taubes terrass at the waterfront for sunset over Riddarfjärden. Gamla stan metro is about five minutes away.
