Stortorget

Stortorget is Gamla stan's main square and the oldest in Stockholm, lined with tall, colorful merchant houses with stepped gables around an old well.

Arrive early in the morning to photograph the facades without crowds, or come in December when the Christmas market fills the square. The Nobel Prize Museum is on the north side, and Storkyrkan and the Royal Palace are a minute's walk away. Gamla stan metro is about five minutes away.
