Södermalm's main street, climbing south from Slussen, with a pedestrian stretch near Medborgarplatsen packed with independent shops, cafés and bars.

Walk up from Slussen toward Medborgarplatsen to see the shops and Södermalm street life at its busiest on weekend afternoons. South of Medborgarplatsen, metro tunnel works disrupt the street until 2032, though walking is still possible. The SoFo neighborhood begins a few blocks east.
