Stockholm's main pedestrian shopping street, running north from the Parliament through the city center with shops, cafés and street performers along the way.

Walk it from the Gamla stan end northward to see it change from busy chain stores to quieter, older blocks. Quotes from August Strindberg are set into the pavement near the northern end, where the Strindberg Museum and the Observatorielunden park hill are close by.
