National Library of Sweden

Kungliga biblioteket, the National Library of Sweden, is a 19th-century stone building set in the leafy park of Humlegården, Sweden's main repository of printed works.

Approach from the park's tree-lined avenues for the best view of the facade, and stop by the Carl Linnaeus statue nearby. Humlegården is a pleasant place for a break between Stureplan and Östermalm's food hall, both about five minutes' walk. Östermalmstorg metro is close.
