Stockholm Public Library

Gunnar Asplund's 1928 city library, a tall cylindrical rotunda set on a square base, is closed for renovation, so the inside can't currently be visited.

The building is expected to reopen around 2028, but the exterior on Sveavägen is still worth a look. Walk up the hill into Observatorielunden behind it for a view of the rotunda over the treetops. Odenplan metro is about five minutes' walk away.
