Moderna Museet

Sweden's premier museum of modern and contemporary art, with a world-class collection including Picasso, Dalí and Matisse, on Skeppsholmen.

ArkDes, the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design, shares the building complex, so it's easy to see both in one visit. The museum restaurant has a view over the water, and there's little else to eat on the island, so plan lunch here.
