Långholmen Hotel

A former prison on a tranquil island in central Stockholm, converted into a unique hotel surrounded by parks and waterside walks.

You sleep in a former cell and get your own key to it, and guests can visit the prison museum for free. The beach is a minute or two away, and Långholmens Wärdshus next door serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
